Well, once again we have proved that our ingenious Survivor series fantasy setup is the tightest competition down to the last lap of the last race of the session. This time around the #5 and the #31 duked it out down to the last lap (OK, maybe the last few laps). In the end, the #31 pulled 2 positions ahead of the #5 for the championship. Thank god! I cannot imagine awarding anyone for selecting Kyle Busch, especially over Jeff Burton. In 2 sessions, the winner was decided by an average of 1.5 positions.
Congrats to Curtis. You are the last man standing. You are the tallest weed in the garden. You are the oldest guy in the nursing home. The last of the Mohicans. The are the broccoli in a fat guys feast. For that, your entry fee in the next session is free! Aren't I generous.
The race was actually pretty entertaining. There was at least an hour there when I thought 'ole Junior was going to pull it off in that stark white Chevy. OK, I will admit I was pulling for him. Maybe I just like seeing Kurt Busch wrecking, or Harvick overheating. I will tell you that I definitely liked seeing : the #42 trailing flames like the Waltrip Motor Coach leaving a San Fransisco bathhouse.
Well, get your picks in for session 3 ASAP. 12 drivers this time. I'll post the picks up here around the start of the race on Sunday.
Yeah, I'll be watching after all. I had to cancel my trip to Michigan this weekend. And I was going to have the ultimate old guy sports dream story. A 20-year alumni soccer game. Ooooh, the potential glory. I just couldn't stand to drive through the stench in Ann Arbor to get there. No, actually I can't leave Mack behind this weekend in his ridiculous halo. Poor guys eye surgery didn't go to well. I don't know what is tougher, watching him crash into walls with his giant plastic cone, or just knowing that my dog is wearing a giant plastic cone.
Hey, safe travels to Scott and Crew as they go to Vegas to see the Warriors. Sorry we couldn't join you.
Get yer picks in!
