Scott sent me these images. I figure if Scott had a superpower, it would be microscopic vision. Follow the arrow to two little tiny dots representing Mike and I sitting at MIS the same day as the photo to the right, sans "draft trax".

According to Scott, he spotted his seat mates in the photo as he was throwing away a free calender. Your next career should be as a spotter. After yesterday I think Martin Truex may need a new one.

Survivor Results after Atlanta

Well, I didn't see a whole lot of today's race, but I saw the most important part. It was a wild finish, thanks to Denny Hamlin. Here's my take. About 3 guys should have tracked Hamlin down after the race and beat the crap out of him. That was an asshole move. They HAD to know they weren't going to make the finish. OK, I'll guess that they didn't realize they were a full 3 laps short on fuel, but c'mon guys, you fucked up what might have been a great finish. Get your crappy FedEx Chevy onto pit road and get a splash. Someones calculator spoiled the show.

This week Joe Yu falls out of contention on a 30th place finish from Smoke. Terschak lost the 8 car, which lasted longer than it should have after a series of about 6 DNFs.

3 races remain. We will eliminate 3 drivers next week, 3 the following and the best finish of the 4 finalists will be declared the victor.

Survivor Resuls after Martinsville

Well, I guess we are still eliminating from the bottom of our list. No big surprises today. Yeley and McMurry found trouble a few times each today. Bye Bye guys.

This was the first race I had a chance to watch all the way through in a while. No Browns, no day Tribe game. Speaking of the Tribe. The national media must hate us. You know that the timing of this whole Byrd/HGH thing is no coincidnece. The media will do whatever is in their power to help the Douche Sox make the World Series. No one wants to write about Cleveland versus Colorado for 3 weeks. Anything to distract the Indians players today. Thanks, assholes.

Back to the race. Pretty interesting race today. Lots of lead changes. The 31 found the front for a while, then wound up at the rear after the whole nice-guy persona finally bit him in the rear. As he allowed the #16 car to hit pit lane ahead of him in order to make both teams pit stop smoother, he didn't make the commit line and was penalized to the rear. Nice. He fought back to a top 15. Didn't matter. No one is going to touch a Henrick car at Martinsville (where a plane crash took the lives of many Hendric family members and employees 3 years ago)- it makes too good a media story......

SMP Racing Results after Charlotte

Week 5 and we've eliminated another player. Carol falls this week after David Ragan finished near the rear. The race was a snoozer (at least as far as I could tell - the tribe game was on at the same time so I was switching back and forth when I was awake). Once again, we saw Chase drivers having trouble. The #17 car got lots of TV time, except it wasn't for running up front; and the #29 ran with the leaders all night, from 3 laps down.

In the end, Jeff Gordon pulled another win out of his ass, and Rusty Wallace continued to annoy be with his pronunciation of David Gilliland's last name. RUSTY, hes not French! those are not silent "l"s. David "Gillyand" should pull Ole Crusty aside. His sponsors must, at a minimum, be wondering if Rusty doesn't like their driver.

Anyway, The Browns are on (in SD unfortunately thanks to CBS's lack of respect for our town).

Talladega Nights, er afternoons. This weeks race was like Wingman on a blind date - 5 mintues of introductions followed by 3 hours of blunt-traumaesque boredom ending in 30 seconds of "Jeff Gordon" spraying foam all over.

Actually, it was quite entertaining. Toyota and Dodge showed some HP. DEI/RCR showed some smoke. Kyle Busch wrecked. Can't ask for much more.
